Here is a short list of possible questions you might have for us. We aren't mind-readers (despite our multiple attempts at it), so if we haven't answered your question here, please email us directly.

Why ActiveBudz?

Because I noticed alot of my friends (and a whole lot of their friends) kept using email, phone, text, Twitter and FB to find people who wanted to join them for a bike ride, a run, a swim, or a surf sesh. They would look for someone last minute, or a week ahead, or while they were on a business trip, or... the list goes on and on.

Then I started connecting people with other coaches, mentors and training buddies from San Diego to Iowa, Ontario to Berlin, and everywhere in between -- so I thought it was time to create a faster way for people to find others like them to play outside with.

Why not make it easier to discover that "just perfect" training buddy or Mentor whenever you tried a new sport, wanted to get lean or needed specialized advice or recommendations just for you?

How many Activebudz will I receive?

The most important belief behind Activebudz is the value of meaningful connections. Research shows that it's our first, second and even third degree connections that influence how healthy we are - and so our focus is on giving you quality connections vs a large quanitity of people that you don't really know, or who don't really know you.

If you're looking to say you have 500+ Activebudz, you are looking in the wrong place.

We want you to feel supported by people who are accessible and responsive to you and help you live a happier, healthier life for the rest of your life!

How is it personalized?

You'll download the app, and then take a short quiz. (about 35 seconds)

It's a stress free, even fun, experience and helps GOTRIbal provide you with a continuous list of Suggested Activebudz we think you'll dig.

Whenever you change your Fitness Profile, your Suggested Activebudz are new, too!

Is it safe?

The goal was to ensure you could enjoy a trail run with a new friend or a surf session at dawn with a great teacher -- not worry about whether or not you should carry pepper spray with you.

Your email and private contact information will never be shared with your new Suggested Activebudz, unless you share it yourself.

Even when YOU say "yes" to a requested connection, any information you've made private is NOT shared unless you do so in communications with the other person.

You can make private as much of your information as you'd like, AND as an Activebud member, you can "Endorse" other members who you know are top-quality peeps. It's one of several ways we give control to the community to make sure we have the good guys on board, and the bad eggs are ... well, scrambled.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Zippo. Zilch. Zero.

For awhile.

This gives you a chance to play, meet new people, and take a look around.

Is it only for the ladies?

We know the boys care about this stuff, too, and so Activebudz is created to make sure women and men can enjoy the experience equally.

If you are a woman who prefers to only have an Activebudz community of women, we get that! You can select only to receive Activebudz who are women, just tell us that in your profile survey and that's all you'll get.

If you change your mind, and you'd like to have both men and women as Activebudz, you'll have that option, too.

Point being, you'll always have the option to remove Activebudz you don't jibe with anymore, or simply set your Fitness Profile settings for the gender of Activebudz you prefer.

You will always be in control.

How often do I receive "Suggested Activebudz"?

Every Wed and Friday. Just in time for a fun weekend.

If we haven't found the best Activebudz for you, you won't receive new matches.

Every time you modify your Fitness Profile, you will receive new Suggested Activebudz based on the new information you've entered. If we can't uncover some great connections, we will wait until we can find Activebudz who will be the most meaningful connection for you.

Is it in my city?

Right at the launch of Activebudz, the connections to Activebudz in your specific city may not be available. However, the more people who invite their active lifestyle friends into the Activebudz app community, the greater the possibility you will be connected with someone who is in your city.
